Deviant for 4 Years + 4,000 Pageviews !!!

Hi guys! I just want to announce that it's my 4th year anniversary in DA. I've also reached 4,000 pageviews a couple of weeks ago. Considering that I don't have much to post on this account, I feel really thankful for the continuing visits that I get each year. It motivates me to work hard and it shows how much I have grown as an artist. I find this enough to make me happy on my fourth year!

I never tried using online portfolios before, even when I had my OJT. I'm just so loyal to DA that I think I'd try one, just for formalities.

Yep, another online account to maintain! Notice that I'm keeping the birthdays on the same day! This account will act as my photography dumpsite. I love DA, but sometimes, I have this feeling that DA's only for artworks (as in drawings) and super professional-looking photographs. Deviants don't view a picture when it looks too plain and simple. Popularity plays a big role, and its all about details and complexity here. And to be honest, it lowers my esteem in photography. I'd still upload photographs in DA (if I have one that I feel worthy of posting), but I'd like to keep a separate account where I can upload my photos freely. Some place where simplicity is not a big deal, and where people can appreciate it as it is, and not because of the impact or the artistic weight of the photography/photomanipulation. That's where Flickr comes in.

My first album would be my socks photoshoot with my childhood friend, Ivy. We just thought of abusing my collection of tights and socks in a photoshoot, but it turned out to be the highlight of our sleepover. We had a lot of fun, which makes me even happier to share the result. I think it would be visible in the photos!

Research on Gothic Lolita Photography

It's for my thesis and i'm taking it seriously. It's just that the progress is making me depressed. It's making me realize over and over again how much I hate paperworks.

ANYWAY, I'm doing a research study on the influence of Gothic Lolita Photography on the social behavior of female teens in college. (The original title is too loooong, this will do!) I still need to work on a lot of things before I get on with surveys and interviews. Just so you guys know, I'm focusing my studies on universities. I don't know how some things work yet, but the more help, the better. If you happen to know anyone that would be willing to be interviewed (a Lolita, a photographer, or maybe some pro), then please do send me a note. There are a lot of costrippers in the Philippines (the researcher's country, I forgot to mention ), but as you would notice, there are only a few dedicated Lolitas around. Therefore, all sources of information would be highly appreciated.
